About Our EPS Mouldings and Foam Trim at Patterson Whittaker

Both architects and contractors are always looking for ways to save time and money without sacrificing the quality of the build. Patterson Whittaker Architectural Profiles has created a proprietary product that provides that.

Our product, which uses a cement coated EPS core, is a new and exciting product that addresses many of the problems with competing materials like precast concrete, GFRC, quarried stone, and other alternatives. We have over 20 years of experience creating these EPS trim and EPS moldings, and nearly every single customer we’ve worked with ends up using us on future builds.

We encourage you to learn more about these EPS products by calling 206.953.5209 in the United States or 604.285.6550 in Canada, or use our online form and one of our team members will contact you soon as they’re able. We are happy to provide samples, and go into greater detail of why our EPS based products are quickly becoming the best choice for most architectural designs.

About Our Foam Mouldings

No two regions of North America have the same terminology. In Canada, most of the country knows about our EPS products. But in the United States, some people think that “EPS Mouldings” or “Foam Trim” refers to thinly coated stucco EPS or primed EPS that is spray coated on site.

What we create is something quite different.

Patterson Whittaker provides full scale architectural products that look and act like precast concrete, GFRC, GFRG, stone, and other architectural products. It is weatherproof, durable, and can be quickly shaped and molded to the desired look of the property. It has a reinforced EPS core, which makes it extremely durable, and the core is coated in another reinforced concrete so that the entire product is designed to withstand handling, weather, and more for decades.

The EPS itself uses molded cellular blocks, far more durable than other types of well known EPS products. We have extensive testing data that shows that it easily withstands steal ball drops, weather, and heat. It also adheres to all architectural standards.

But the reason our EPS architectural products have become so popular is because they have advantages that address many of the drawbacks of competing products:

  • It is extremely lightweight, more so than even GFRC and other “light weight” materials. It is so lightweight that it can be installed by only one or two people and requires minimal to no manual reinforcement. It also costs very little to ship and minimal labor cost.
  • It is durable. Even though it uses a foam core traditionally associated with products like Styrofoam, this molded cellular block material coated in an acrylic/cementous base coat is less likely to chip or break than other products like precast.
  • It requires less lead time. We are able to create products that are exactly as you envisioned them in far less time and ship them faster to you, helping you stay on your project’s timeline.

It is also more cost effective. Our efficient process and materials mean that we can provide a similar product to the architectural materials that you’re used to for a lower price without sacrificing quality, which means that you save money on the build and make it easier to finish the project under budget. In fact our products have been used on residential properties that are typically priced out on products like precast and GFRC, yet the quality of our designs is appropriate for upscale homes and commercial buildings as well.
